2018 Summer Concert Series at Stango Park
The City of Lewes is excited to present twelve great bands for the summer concert series in Stango Park for 2018. The 2018 summer concert series lineup is sponsored by the City of Lewes, WSFS Bank, and by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware art events on www.DelawareScene.com.
U.S. Navy Band – Sea Chanters (Performance will be in Cape Henlopen High School regardless of weather) - The Navy Band Sea Chanters is the United States Navy's official chorus. The ensemble performs a variety of music ranging from traditional choral music, including sea chanteys and patriotic fare, to opera, Broadway and contemporary music. Under the leadership of Chief Musician Adam Tyler, the Sea Changers perform for the public throughout the Untited States. At home in Washington, they perform for the president, vice president and numerous congressional, military and foreign dignitaries.
Concerts are free and provide a family friendly event with diverse music options. All are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, snacks, and their dancing shoes. In case of inclement weather concerts will be moved to Cape Henlopen high school.
