2019 Stango Park Summer Concert Series ~ FREE
Due to the impending storms coming our way this afternoon and evening, tonight’s concert with the U.S. Navy The Commodores will be held inside at Cape Henlopen High School theater (1250 Kings Highway Lewes). Concert starts at 7pm. The Commodores were originally scheduled for June 11th but needed to switch dates with Country Current due to tour duty conflicts.  Reminder that food, drinks and pets are NOT allowed inside the theater.

August 13 - US Navy Band The Commodores (brass band)  - Jazz is America’s music and the U.S. Navy Band Commodores, the Navy’s premier jazz ensemble, have been performing the very best of big band jazz for the Navy and the nation for over 40 years. Formed in 1969, this 18-member group continues the jazz big band legacy with some of the finest musicians in the world. Led by Senior Chief Musician William C. Mulligan, the Commodores’ mission includes public concerts, national concert tours, ceremonial support in honoring our veterans, jazz education classes and clinics, and protocol performances for high-level military and civilian government officials.

The City of Lewes is excited to present twelve great bands for the summer concert series in Stango Park for 2019. Every Tuesday evening from June 11 to August 27, there will be a free concert starting at 7:00 p.m. on the open air stage in Stango Park next to the Lewes library.

In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Cape Henlopen High School auditorium.

The 2019 summer concert series lineup is sponsored by the City of Lewes, WSFS Bank, and by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware art events on www.DelawareScene.com.
