22nd ANNIVERSARY OF REHOBOTH BEACH INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL presented by Rehoboth Beach Film Society

October 31st, 2019 - 12:00 pm to November 10th, 2019 - 5:00 pm

Enjoy eleven days of exceptional, thought-provoking, inspiring, and entertaining films at the 22nd anniversary of the Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival from Oct 31 – Nov 10, 2019. An assortment of feature films from sixteen countries will take you to the mountains of Turkey to the countryside of France; the rural communities of Peru to the urban drama of Berlin; tales of romance in Australia to webs of intrigue in Romania. And simply one unforgettable film from Georgia.

A unique variety of documentaries will open the door to different experiences. Be entertained by colorful, competitive dog grooming; learn about a restaurant that serves vegetarian food with a heaping helping of activism; be inspired by a financially suffering rural town that flourishes with the opening of a major arts venue; explore the unique world of taxidermy which creatively and artistically celebrates life. These are just a few of the unique documentaries that are must sees.

If you like appetizers, you will also like short films, both of which offer you a brief sample to relish. The Maryland Film Festival curated two shorts programs for this year’s festival, Narrative Shorts and Character Study Shorts, each of which provides an assortment of creative films that will spur interesting conversations.

Now in its 22nd year, the Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival has something for everyone. The multi-day event takes place at three venues, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s Cinema Art Theater (Main Theater and JEMS Theater), the Unitarian Universalists Southern Delaware, and the Cape Henlopen High School.

Ticket sales opened Oct. 14. Visit www.rehobothfilm.com to view the online program and get all the information you need about films, screening schedules, or how to purchase tickets. Pick up a program at local libraries, the Cinema Art Theater, and hotels throughout the area. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities during this event as well.
