ANNUAL VJ DAY SALUTE - SEPTEMBER 2ND - PRESENTED BY FORT MILES HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION

Purpose:  Ceremony to salute the Delaware’s 800 service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country during World War II.

When/Where:  Monday, September 2nd, 11AM - Noon, Fort Miles Museum Artillery Park

What:  Following a presentation of the colors by an American Legion Honor Guard and remarks from Dr. Gary Wray, the names of 100 Delaware service men and women will be read with a chime salute as each name is announced

Tours:  Self-guided tours of Battery 519 will be available until 2PM following the ceremony with FMHA docents on hand to answer questions.
