Author Interview/Book Signing - Nadine Strossen

HATE: Why We Should Resist It with Free Speech, Not Censorship
Saturday, August 4, 4:00 PM

Nadine Strossen is the John Marshall Harlan II Professor of Law at New York Law School. She has written, taught, and advocated extensively in the areas of constitutional law and civil liberties. From 1991 through 2008, she served as President of the American Civil Liberties Union, the first woman to head the nation’s largest and oldest civil liberties organization.

Author and Harold S. Shefelan Distinguished Scholar at the University of Washington School of Law Ronald Collins will interview Ms. Strossen about her new book HATE, which dispels misunderstandings plaguing our perennial debates about "hate speech vs. free speech," showing the First Amendment approach promotes free speech and democracy, equality, and societal harmony.

Afterwards Ms. Strossen will sign copies of her book, which will be for sale before and after the presentation.
Registration is required. To sign up, call the Library at 302-645-2733 or stop by the Circulation Desk.
