Time to break out your favorite frock and your glitter flip-flops. Or your best Bermuda shorts and your sequined tie. In other words – it’s time for Clear Space Theatre’s annual Bow Tie & Barefoot bash!
Bow Tie & Barefoot—a great event where beach meets street in a creative, casual, formal –festive! - fashion mash-up—will be held on Saturday, September 14, at Kings Creek Country Club in Rehoboth Beach. The event both celebrates a fabulous summer season and serves to introduce the 2020 season.
Festivities will include an open bar and buffet dinner; cast members from Clear Space’s company of actors will entertain with previews of the 2020 theatre season. The fun begins with a reception at 6:00 pm, followed by dinner at 7:00.
The evening also will include a tribute to this year’s winners of the annual Spotlight Awards:
• Spotlight on Advocacy: Alice and Al Willis
• Spotlight on Volunteer Service: Carolyn and Jerry Strum
• Spotlight on Artistic Endeavors: Eddy Seger
Says Carl Schloegel, Chair of Clear Space’s Board of Directors, “We are excited to honor this year’s award winners. The breadth of the awards – from advocacy to volunteer service to artistry – underscores the breadth of support, commitment and talent required to sustain a successful regional theatre company. General admission tickets for Bow Tie & Barefoot are $150, and tables for 10 ($1,500) and VIP tables ($2,000) are still available. So gather your friends and fellow Clear Space supporters, book a table, and spend a wonderful evening celebrating live theatre at the beach!
