Cultural Inheritances: Growing Up Italian

Most of the 17.6 million Americans who claim Italian ancestry, the seventh largest ancestry group in the US, are the descendants of immigrants who migrated to America from 1890 through the early 1920s. Many of us grew up around these immigrants and absorbed their culture and traditions. Their story is our story, part of the large tapestry that is America.

Relive and share stories of your heritage; link memories to cultural inheritances; and get tips for accessing memories, telling your stories, and building a legacy. Presented by Jo-Ann Vega.
