ELLE opening at the Cinema Art Theater

January 13th, 2017 - 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
ELLE opening at the Cinema Art Theater

Screening times are 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm on Friday (January 13), 7:00 pm on Saturday (January 14), 4:30 pm on Sunday (January 15) and 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, (January 18-19).

Starting on January 13, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s Cinema Art Theater will present ELLE, a thriller that continually defies expectations.

Michèle (Isabelle Huppert) seems indestructible. Head of a leading video game company, she brings the same ruthless attitude to her love life as to business. Being attacked in her home by an unknown assailant changes Michèle’s life forever. When she resolutely tracks the man down, they are both drawn into a curious and thrilling game—a game that may, at any moment, spiral out of control. [2016, France, Runtime: 130 min. Rated: R]

Ty Burr of the “Boston Globe” praises Huppert as “phenomenal in her most unnerving performance since Michael Haneke’s THE PIANO TEACHER.” His compliment was supported with Isabelle Huppert winning a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an actress in a motion picture drama.

For all screenings tickets can be purchased at the Cinema Art Theater, starting 30 minutes prior to each screening. Admission for a screening is $8 for RBFS members and $10 for future members. Screening times are 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm on Friday (January 13), 7:00 pm on Saturday (January 14), 4:30 pm on Sunday (January 15) and 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, (January 18-19).

All screenings are held at the Cinema Art Theater located at 17701 Dartmouth Drive in Dartmouth Plaza, behind the Lewes Wawa.
