An Evening at the Hook Lecture Series- Snowy Owls @ Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge

To connect you and your family with nature, many activities, programs, and special events are planned this year. But remember that anytime is a good time to visit the Refuge, which is open every day from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset in designated areas! Steve Huy is the founder and manager of the Lamb’s Knoll Owl Banding site in the eastern edge of Western Maryland. Steve is also the co-founder and director of Project Owlnet, an organization devoted to the study of migrant saw-whet owls, and is a co-founder and director of Project SNOWstorm, a study focused on the snowy owl irruption of in the Midwest and eastern North America. Jim will discuss various aspects of the work he has done with owls.
