THE FABELMANS Opening at the Cinema Art Theater in Lewes
Opening January 27, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s Cinema Art Theater presents The Fabelmans, a beautiful and tender drama based on a filmmaker Stephen Spielberg’s true story about the ecstasy of making movies. The Fabelmans is an Oscar nominated film is several category’s including Best Picture and Best Director and has picked-up the 2023 Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture and Best Director.
Growing up in post-World War II era Arizona, young Sammy Fabelman (Gabriel LaBelle) aspires to become a filmmaker as he reaches adolescence much to the delight of his mother (Michelle Williams). He soon discovers a shattering family secret and explores how the power of film can help him see the truth. The film also stars among others Paul Dano, Judd Hirsch and Seth Rogen. Screening times are 7:15 pm on Fri (Jan 27), 4:30 pm on Sun (Jan 29) and 2 pm on Tue (Jan 31). Admission is $9 for members, $11.50 for general audiences and $5 for students.
