The Market Jazzes It Up this Saturday, October 14!

This Saturday, October 14, the Historic Lewes Farmers Market (HLFM) welcomes audiences of the Rehoboth Jazz Festival to its special jazz weekend market from 9:00 am to noon in the parking lot of the Shields Elementary School off Savannah Road at Sussex Drive in Lewes. DE. Convenient parking can be found at the adjacent Lewes School parking lot. Visitors to the market will be able to shop for the freshest produce available while enjoying the seductive musical notes of national recording artist, jazz saxophonist Will Donato. Mr. Donato will entertain from 10:00 am until Noon.

The Market continues its fall season at Shields with over 24 vendors through November 18 (Saturday before Thanksgiving). Your favorite market vendors will be there offering all the bounties of fall harvest: carrots, fresh ginger, sweet potatoes, lettuces, broccoli, cauliflower, winter squashes (including pumpkins), artisanal cheeses, apples, pears, cider, lamb, pork, oysters, freshly laid eggs, breads, jams and jellies, pastries, milk, yogurt and beautiful flowers for the table.

Please note that for the remainder of the 2017 season, there will be no Children's Reading Program, demonstrations, or bagels.
The Market offers the SNAP (EBT Food Stamps) program at the Market. To help lower economic barriers to local, healthy food, the HLFM matches up to $20 each participant each week with HLFM Bonus Bucks. SNAP participants are encouraged to come to the SNAP tent at the Market to pick up the bonus $20. In addition to SNAP, the Historic Lewes Farmers Market welcomes participants in Delaware's Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program. Through October 31, 2017 WIC coupons can be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at the Market.
