What’s Fresh at Market This Saturday, June 25th
The summer harvest is coming on strong, and thirty-one farmers/producers will bring sweet corn, peaches, tomatoes—slicers and cherry, blueberries, radicchio, summer squashes, kale, green beans, red potatoes, broccoli, peas, radishes, carrots, Swiss chard, spinach, arugula, lettuces including romaine, oysters, live crabs and hand-picked crab meat, grass-fed chicken, beef and pork, honey, mushrooms, eggs, yogurt, milk, butter, ice cream, kombucha, jams, fresh-baked breads, pastries made with fruit from the vendors at the market, herb, veggie, and flower plants, cut-flower bouquets including sunflowers, and more. The Historic Lewes Farmers Market is unique in that it is producer-only—customers are able to buy directly from the farmer who grew the produce. This Market is where the farmers are.

Help Celebrate Juneteenth at 1 pm – Additional Parking Info
The Juneteenth Celebration starts at 1 pm at the Park. This means that parking will be impacted. If possible, please walk, bike, or ride the Lewes Line to Market to minimize parking issues. There will be no customer street parking on Dupont Avenue all day Saturday. HLFM customers may park in the lot off of Dupont (with the porta potties) until 10:30am on Saturday, when it will close for the event preparations. Customers may continue to use the back parking lots behind the Fred Thomas Building. Additionally, there will be specialty event parking set up in the field behind those lots that HLFM customers may also use. The circle will still be available for handicap parking and drop off/pick up. Please ask any of our volunteers in the bright yellow parking vests if you have any questions at the Market on Saturday morning.

Pollinator Week Demo with Sumner Crosby at 10am
For Pollinator Week, Sumner Crosby and the Lewes Beekeeping Club will give a Market Demonstration at 10am. This is a great demo for kids and adults alike! Learn about the life cycle of the bee, how beekeepers care for bees and their hives and how honey is harvested. Local honey can be tasted at Stag Run Farm tent.
