Lunch and Learn: Common Ground in Major World Religions
What is the state of spirituality in our country today? Whatever the future holds for religion in society, something that will become ever more important, is being able to talk to one another. Those conversations can happen once we recognize how much common ground there is between the major religions in the world today.
In this class we will look at the shared themes and stories of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, along with what makes them unique. Once we make these connections, we will look at the rapidly growing groups known as the “Nones” and “Dones", those who claim no religious affiliation or have left organized religion altogether.
Bring a bag lunch and discover how we can bridge all of these gaps and grow in our understanding of one another.
Presented by Bradley Schutt. This presentation is a joint program offered by the library and Delaware Tech, Jack F. Owens Campus.
This program is free of charge and takes place at the Library (111 Adams Avenue, Lewes, DE). We request people register for the program, but walk-ins are welcome. For more information, visit www.lewes.lib.de.us or call 302-645-2733.
