LUXOR
Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s Streaming Film

Starting on November 13, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s Cinema Art Theater offers virtual cinema access to “Luxor,” a beautifully played drama about a woman who tries to come to grips with life following the trauma of field work in a war zone.

When a British war doctor Hana, (played by Andrea Riseborough) suffering from PTSD, returns to the ancient Egyptian city of Luxor, she meets former lover Sultan. As she wanders, haunted by the familiar place, she struggles to reconcile the choices of the past with the uncertainty of the present. [2020, Egypt, 85 min, Rated: NR,].

Todd Jorgenson of “Cinemalogue” writes, “A deeply felt portrayal by Andrea Riseborough galvanizes this quietly powerful character study about reconciliation and rebirth.” Kevin Maher of “Times (UK)” says, “It's a mesmerizing performance and a sturdy spine for a powerful movie that will, at the very least, and at a time when you can't, make you want to visit Luxor.”
To help keep the Cinema Art Theater’s screens lit, visit rehobothfilm.com for streaming links to watch one or several available films at your home. The distributor sets the fee but if more than one person is watching, it is a bargain. Thank you for your support.
