MILITARY WIVES Opening at the Cinema Art Theater

Starting on May 22, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society offers virtual cinema access to Military Wives,” a moving British comedy-drama that centers around a band of women that inspire each other through music while their partners are away serving in Afghanistan.

Coming from different backgrounds and faced with their loved ones' absences, these women come together to form the very first military wives choir, helping each other through some of life's most difficult moments, and quickly find themselves on an international stage. Peter Cattaneo (The Full Monty) directs Kristin Scott Thomas and Sharon Horgan in this feel-good crowd-pleaser inspired by true events. [2020, UK, 112 min., Rating: Not Rated].

Kate Rodger of “Newshub” exclaims, “I adore Dame Kristin, she and her cohorts deliver some heartwarming moments of collective womanhood and the power of friendship.” Sarah Cartland of “Caution Spoilers” says, “Kristin Scott Thomas and Sharon Horgan are a brilliantly harried double act in this warm, witty, very emotional and sometimes dark tale.”
To help keep the Cinema Art Theater’s future bright, visit rehobothfilm.com for streaming links to watch one or several available films. Each distributor sets the fee but if more than one person is watching, it is a bargain. Thank you for your support.
