RBFS Comedy Tuesdays presents WILD OATS

February 14th, 2017 - 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
The Rehoboth Beach Film Society will present Comedy Tuesdays during the month of February. Lighten up a dreary winter day by watching films that will tickle your funny bone and make you smile all week. Screenings will be held at 2:00 pm at the Cinema Art Theater, 17701 Dartmouth Drive, #2, Dartmouth Plaza (behind the Lewes Wawa).

This winter series will continue with the action-packed dramedy, WILD OATS on Tuesday, February 14 at 2:00 pm.

Oscar® winning screen legends Shirley MacLaine and Jessica Lange team up with Demi Moore in this screwball comedy about love, friendship and self-discovery. After her husband's passing, Eva (Shirley MacLaine) is on her own and facing a bleak financial future. With a loving yet distant daughter Crystal (Demi Moore) reminding her of her age every day, she feels her best times are behind her. When she receives a life insurance check mistakenly made out for five million dollars instead of the expected $50,000, Eva and her best friend Maddie (Jessica Lange) decide to take advantage of this financial windfall and head off for an adventure of a lifetime. But their fantasy is short lived when the insurance company realizes their mistake and the duo become fugitives from justice. Can the insurance company catch up with them before they spend all the money? This endearing film shows us the importance of long-term friendships and that it’s never too late to let loose and have fun. [2016, USA, Runtime: 86 minutes, Rated PG-13]

In his review, James McDonald of “The Irish Film Critic” said, “If you want to see two seasoned Hollywood pros at work, watch WILD OATS. It is both hilarious and winsome”.
