RBFS presents TRUMAN

April 28th, 2017 - 4:00 pm
TRUMAN OPENING AT THE CINEMA ART THEATER

Starting on April 28th the Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s Cinema Art Theater will present TRUMAN, a moving but humorous drama with two magnificent actors.

TRUMAN explores the intimacy and tenderness of a lifelong friendship headed towards its imminent end in this heartfelt and surprisingly humorous film. Diagnosed with terminal cancer, Julián (Ricardo Darin, 2009’s Academy Award®-winning “The Secret in Their Eyes”) has decided to forgo treatment, and spend his final days tying up loose ends. When childhood friend Tomás (Javier Cámara, “Talk to Her”) pays his ailing friend an unexpected visit, he quickly realizes he won’t be able to change his mind. In what will be their final reunion, the two friends set out to finalize Julián’s funeral arrangements, settle his accounts and, most importantly, find a home for his beloved dog, Truman. [2017, Spain, Runtime: 108 min., Not Rated]

Mick LaSalle of the “San Francisco Chronicle” declares “There are things in life and art that are simply so beautiful that they must be witnessed, and Darin’s performance in TRUMAN is one of those.”

Screening times are 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Friday and Saturday (April 28-29), 4:00 pm on Sunday (April 30), as well as 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday (May 3 -4). Tickets can be purchased at the Cinema Art Theater, starting 30 minutes prior to each screening. Admission for a screening is $8 for RBFS members and $10 for future members. All screenings are held at the Cinema Art Theater located at 17701 Dartmouth Drive in Dartmouth Plaza, behind the Lewes Wawa.
