WHERE HANDS TOUCH OPENING AT THE CINEMA ART THEATER

Starting on September 14, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s Cinema Art Theater will present WHERE HANDS TOUCH, a touching drama that explores a never been told before story about the dangers of love under the Nazi regime.

Germany 1944: 15-year old Leyna (Amandla Stenberg), daughter of a white German mother and a black father, meets Lutz (George MacKay), the son of a prominent SS officer. They fall helplessly in love, putting their lives at risk as all around them the persecution of Jews and those deemed ‘non-pure’ slowly unfolds. Does their love stand a chance amidst violence and hatred? [2018, UK, Runtime: 122 minutes, Rated: PG-13].

Caryn James of “TheHollywoodReporter.com” calls it, “an eloquent, sweeping film… [that] raises questions about bravery, conscience and, most of all, identity.” Elizabeth Weitzman of “TheWrap.com” praises the director, Amma Asante, for being, “intently determined to give voice to stories that have not yet been told.”

Screening times are 4:00 pm on Friday (Sept 14), 7:00 pm on Saturday (Sept 15), 4:00 pm on Sunday (Sept 16), 3:15 pm on Monday (Sept 17), 3:45 pm on Tuesday (September 18), 4:00 pm on Wednesday (Sept 19), and 7:00 pm on Thursday (Sept 20). Admission for CAT: THIS WEEK films is $8 for members and $11 for future members. Customers are encouraged to purchase tickets online.
