Wild West Returns at CHEER’s Frontier Festival

September 28th, 2018 - 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Save the date for the second annual CHEER Frontier Festival on Friday, September 28. It will be held on the grounds of the CHEER Community Center, Route 9, east of Georgetown. Catered to the 50+ population who remembers the half-hour western television shows on Saturday mornings in the late 1960s, the day will feature entertainment, food, health vendors, and fun.

Returning by popular demand will be the Karson Family of Ocean City, Md.’s Frontier Town – Shane, Julie, and Clay. They will amaze the audience with their western feats and skills. Other entertainment includes carriage rides, guitar music, singers, and even a ventriloquist. Numerous healthcare educators and professionals will be available to answer your questions. Come dressed in your western attire. Activities take place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. (rain or shine).

Marshall Sponsor of the day is the Delaware Medicare Assistance Bureau. Deputy sponsors giving their support are Summit Orthopedic Home Care, Tidewater Physical Therapy, Eastern Shore Water, and local McDonald’s.

Admission is free. Lunch is available by ticket only for the first 500 pre-registered attendees. It is free to all pre-registered CHEER members and $5 for all others. For tickets, contact your local CHEER activity center.
