FREUD’S LAST SESSION Opening at the Cinema Art Theater in Lewes

Opening January 19, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s Cinema Art Theater presents Freud’s Last Session, a fascinating and beautifully filmed drama about two great men debating a worldly topic.

On the eve of the Second World War, two of the greatest minds on the twentieth century, C.S. Lewis (Matthew Goode) and Sigmund Freud (Anthony Hopkins) converge for their own personal battle over the existence of God. Freud’s Last Session interweaves the lives of Freud and Lewis, past, present, and through fantasy, bursting from the confines of Freud's study on a dynamic journey. [2023, UK, 108 min, Rating: PG-13]

Mick LaSalle of the San Francisco Chronicle says, “Just when you think you know everything Hopkins can do, he digs down and comes up with something new.”

Screening times are 3 pm on Fri (Jan 19), 5 pm on Sat (Jan 20), 6 pm on Sun (Jan 21) and 7 pm on Wed (Jan 24). Admission is $9 for members, $11.50 for general audiences and $5 for students (student tickets available only at the theater box office).
