Overfalls Foundation Guest Speaker Event: Chocolate on the Delaware Bay

February 15, 5:00-6:30 p.m.
Lewes Public Library (111 Adams Ave., Lewes)

Please join the Overfalls Foundation at the Lewes Public Library at 5pm as we host the Lewes Historical Society Director of Education Jose Marcos Salaverria, who will demonstrate the chocolate making process and how it would have traveled the Atlantic in the 18th century to reach Lewes's shores.

Jose Marcos Salaverria started with the Lewes Historical Society in August 2014 as the Director of Education. Marcos has had a love for history since age 8 when his grandfather took him to explore the Revolutionary and Civil War Battlefields of Virginia. Graduating with a BA degree in History from Saint Mary’s College of Maryland in 2006 and a Master’s degree in History from Washington College in 2009, he possesses over fifteen years of experience in the museum field. A frequent living history interpreter, he encourages education through interesting interaction with the public of all ages as the key to a site’s success. His continual goal is to encourage people to experience the exploration of the past.

Please arrive 15 minutes early so as not to interrupt the presentation. This event is free and open to the public. For information about the Overfalls Foundation and future events, please visit our website at https://overfalls.org.
