Overfalls Foundation Guest Speaker Event: The Life and Art of Delaware Artist Jack Lewis

January 29th @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Lewes Public Library
111 Adams Ave.
Lewes, DE

Please join the Overfalls Foundation at the Lewes Public Library at 5 pm for our first guest speaker event of 2024 as we host the Lewes History Museum Coordinator, Alan Jensen, who will explore Jack Lewis’ life including his work as an artist in the Depression-era Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camps in Delaware. Jensen will touch on several key influencers in Lewis’ life, including his work with the Rehoboth Art League and his love and depiction of Delaware’s coast and people. This program will also include recollections on pre-recorded video provided by Jack Lewis' daughter Heather Lewis, who resides in Maine and is an artist herself.

Alan Jensen has worked as a corporate trainer for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and Citibank. He also worked as an educator for many years in Loudoun County, Virginia. He currently is a member of the Lewes Historical Society and is the Museum Coordinator at the Lewes History Museum.

Please arrive 15 minutes early so as not to interrupt the presentation.  This event is free and open to the public. For information about the Overfalls Foundation and future events, please visit our website at https://overfalls.org
