The Lewes Chamber of Commerce is excited to offer a new activity associated with the Lewes Tulip Celebration that annually takes place in April. Chamber board member Rich Garrahan, co-owner of the Crooked Hammock Brewery, initiated the idea for a Restaurant Week-inspired event but with a different twist. Instead of offering a three course fixed price lunch or dinner, each participating chamber restaurant member identified a “special” that will be on their menu during the span of the event - Thursday, April 6 through Thursday, April 13. The organizing group of restaurants chose to stage it during an already existing event - the Lewes Tulip Celebration which takes place April 6 -15. Lisa Frampton, co-owner of The Pig & Publican, came up with the name TWO-LIPS Culinary Week. Rich enlisted artist Leah Beach to create a logo to be used in the marketing materials.
The chamber’s executive director Betsy Reamer noted “Lewes in Bloom volunteers planted nearly 20,000 tulip bulbs last fall in the parks and public spaces all around Lewes. With the addition of the TWO-LIPS Culinary Week combined with the spectacular beauty created by the mass tulip plantings, coming to Lewes will provide a very special experience for everyone.”
All participating restaurants are located in Lewes, Delaware - zip code 19958 and are members of the Lewes Chamber of Commerce. There is a nice geographic mix of restaurants with two on the Lewes Beach side of the canal, ten in the Lewes historic business district and four on or closer to Coastal Highway. Prices range from $5 to $25 and include appetizers and main courses. When customers patronize the 16 restaurants April 6 - 13 and order one of their TWO-LIPS Culinary Week specials, they will be given a raffle drawing entry form to fill out and return to their server. They will then be entered in the TWO-LIPS Culinary Week raffle drawing. The Grand Prize is a 2-night stay at the Dogfish Inn (subject to availability and black-out dates) and numerous other gift certificates. There is no limit on the number of times you can enter.
The participating restaurants are: Bethany Blues of Lewes, The Buttery Restaurant, Casa Amici, Crooked Hammock Brewery, The Gate House of Lewes, Half Full, Heirloom, Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant, Jerry’s Seafood, Kindle, Lefty’s Alley & Eats, Nectar Café & Juice Bar, The Pig & Publican, Rose & Crown Restaurant, Striper Bites and Touch of Italy.

Rack cards are available at all participating restaurants and at the Lewes Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center in the historic Fisher-Martin House in Zwaanendael Park (120 Kings Highway.) The chamber’s spring hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 10 am - 4 pm.
