Tickets to the Tulip Trolley Tours On Sale
The 7th Annual Lewes Tulip Celebration, presented by the Lewes Chamber of Commerce in coordination with the Lewes Historical Society, Lewes in Bloom, City of Lewes Parks & Recreation Commission, Historic Lewes Farmers Market and Zwaanendael Museum, with financial sponsorship by Fulton Bank, annually celebrates Lewes’ Dutch Heritage and Historic Preservation. The celebration begins April 7, with special events April 7-9, and concludes April 16.
The Trolley Tours, presented in collaboration with the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, take place on Thursday, April 7, Friday, April 8 and Saturday, April 9 at 11:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and must be reserved by calling the Lewes Chamber of Commerce - 302-645-8073 - Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. (The chamber will be open on Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.) Tickets will be picked up at the chamber’s Visitor Center and the tours depart from the bus stop at the corner of Second Street on Market Street, next to St. Peter’s Church. The tours on April 7 & 8 will be narrated by docents from the Lewes Historical Society and on Saturday by Warren Golde, immediate past president of Lewes in Bloom and a member of the organizing committee. There are a limited number of tickets available.
There are a myriad of other activities associated with the celebration with special events taking place April 7-9.
