Rehoboth Beach Film Society Call for Art Submission for the 2023 Rehoboth Beach Film Festival

Rehoboth Beach Film Society Continues its Tradition of Supporting Local Artists
With the annual Call for Art Submission in celebration of the
25th anniversary of the 2023 Rehoboth Beach Film Festival

The Rehoboth Beach Film Society (RBFS) is seeking original artwork submissions to celebrate the Society’s award-winning Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival (RBIFF) and its 25th anniversary. A long-standing tradition, the Society selects one artist’s unique work to serve as the brand which will define the annual Festival. The RBIFF is a seven-day Festival and will be held on November 6 – 12, 2023. Patrons can expect 20-25 original indie films that will encompass features, documentaries and international titles, to be hosted at our two-screen complex, the Cinema Art Theater in Lewes.

The selected artwork will receive tremendous visibility and be used in the creation of promotional assets (print and online) that include Playbill posters Festival programs, tee-shirts, and other items  used for the sole purpose of celebrating the Festival. A picture of the selected artist and his/her bio will appear in the Festival program.

The final artwork will be auctioned at the Festival in November with proceeds to benefit the Rehoboth Beach Film Society, a 501(c)3 nonprofit here in Delaware.

“It’s time to return the Festival to its pre-COVID days which include profiling one of the many talented local artist in our community. What better way to celebrate the 25th Festival anniversary than to reinstitute a long standing timeless tradition,” says Helen Chamberlin, the Society’s Executive Director.

Interested Artists should visit the Film Society’s website at https://www.rehobothfilm.com/film-festival/artwork-contest-call-for-entries/ for contest criteria and past Festival artwork. Or, send an email to [email protected] to request details. In previous years the Society focused on novel artistic concepts. The deadline for submissions is 4:45 pm on July 28,2023.

Past Festival artists included Dan Bartasavich, Jennifer Zezenski, K.E. Jiminez, Steve Drum, Claudia Ratner, Damon Pla, Laura Ambler, Nina Stamus, Batenga Obuseh, Faith Lord and Dana Deininger.
