Results of the Lewes 4th of July Boat Parade!

The Lewes 4th of July Decorated Boat Parade was sponsored by the Lightship Overfalls Foundation & the Lewes Chamber of Commerce.
 
JUDGES: City Council members: Deputy Mayor Fred Beaufait, Bonnie Osler, Rob Morgan;
Representing Overfalls Foundation, their board president Albert Didden; Representing Lewes Chamber of Commerce, their board president Kathy Davison.

GRAND PRIZE – Entry #12, ELIZABETH JANE, CAPTAIN JASON KING- Power boat
FIRST PRIZE – Entry #13, HOBO CANOE, CAPTAIN JAY WAGAMON - Sailboat
SECOND PRIZE – Entry #16, TIDE DANCER, CAPTAIN JOHN BIRNEY - Powerboat
THIRD PRIZE – Entry # 17, NO NAME, CAPTAIN CLEM LEGATES - Steamboat
 
11 registered boat entries and a couple of non-registered boats participated in the parade with partly cloudy skies, comfortable temperature and a light breeze. Large number of spectators lined the banks of the canal, City Dock, Canalfront Park, the canal bridge and the numerous waterfront restaurants.
