Village Volunteers is celebrating our 10 th Anniversary of providing services to older adults so they can continue living independently. The Village is a nonprofit volunteer organization. The Village provides volunteer support, services, and programs that enhance the lives of older adults by helping them remain engaged in a variety of social, educational and cultural activities. We have provided over 70,000 services in our ten years. We provide services and programs to Village members in the Sussex County area. We match fully vetted volunteers with services they choose to do in response to requests for service from Village members. We provide services such as, transportation, medical and nonmedical, help with household tasks, placing trash totes curbside, running errands, solving technical issues with cellphones, computers, TV remotes, and thermostats. Village members often enjoy friendly home visits and telephone chats with volunteers. The Village also has a list of vetted vendors who provide professional assistance, such as carpentry, electrical work, plumbing and more. Why join us.... To live independently as long as possible.
