2018 Summer Concert Series at Stango Park
The City of Lewes is excited to present twelve great bands for the summer concert series in Stango Park for 2018. Every Tuesday evening from June 12 to August 28, there will be a free concert starting at 7:00 p.m. on the open air stage in Stango Park next to the Lewes library.
Note that in the event of rain, the concerts will be held in Cape Henlopen High School auditorium. The final concert of the season, the U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters performance will be held in the Cape Henlopen High School auditorium regardless of weather.
The 2018 summer concert series lineup is sponsored by the City of Lewes, WSFS Bank, and by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware art events on www.DelawareScene.com.
The 2018 lineup includes more favorites and new bands that cover a range of musical styles and genres including;
July 17 Glass Onion - Delaware's Premier Party Band, established in 2000, they perform covers of Rock and Roll and R&B dance music at venues throughout Delaware and Maryland. Their mix of popular tunes range from 1950 to 2017. From Jerry Lee Lewes and The Temptations to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bruno Mars everyone is sure to find themselves singing along and dancing the night away!

August 28 U.S. Navy Band – Sea Chanters (Performance will be in Cape Henlopen High School regardless of weather).
Concerts are free and provide a family friendly event with diverse music options. All are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, snacks, and their dancing shoes. In case of inclement weather concerts will be moved to Cape Henlopen high school.
