In 2023, the Lewes Historical Society’s interpretive programming will begin to focus on Lewes and the American War of Independence through a new program, Voices of Revolutionary Lewistown.

Voices of Revolutionary Lewistown is an ongoing living history program that will introduce guests to a diverse array of characters who found themselves in Lewes during the revolutionary period.

Each program will feature different individuals who will share their personal experiences during the revolutionary period in an immersive, intimate setting, with guests encouraged to participate as conversation and debate unfold.

When: Saturday, February 18th at 3:30 PM & 5:00 PM
Where: Sussex Tavern at the Rabbits Ferry House, Historic Campus 110 Shipcarpenter Street, Lewes, Delaware
Admission: $40.00 per adult. Must be 21 or older to attend.  Admission includes two drinks and a baked snack.

While Lewistown was politically divided, especially following the British arrival on the Delaware Bay, Henry Fisher remained committed to the Revolutionary Cause.
