3rd Ashley Furio 5K Run/Walk

Dave and Rose Furio have partnered with the Children's Beach House (CBH) in Lewes to honor their beautiful daughter, Ashley Nicole Furio. With the help of many friends and family, and the strong desire to help children with special needs, they founded the Ashley Nicole Furio Endowment Fund in support of CBH’s Margaret H. Rollins Child Development Center. 

 

The Child Development Center provides preschool and support services to 3- and 4-year-olds from Sussex County. Although the center serves children of all abilities, at least half are at-risk children who have developmental delays. In addition, many of the children served come from low-income families.

 

Focusing on the abilities and strengths of each child, children are taught to do for themselves to build confidence and self-esteem, and to learn through exploring and discovering. An integrated plan created specifically for each child helps them master a range of functional skills designed to prepare them for success in kindergarten and beyond.

 

David, Rose, and their daughter, Alicia are committed to carrying on Ashley's legacy in a way so many children will prosper. Proceeds of the annual Ashley Furio 5K Run/Walk help fund the Endowment established in Ashley’s name which supports the ongoing operations of the Child Development Center.

 

The Ashley Nicloe Furio 5K Run/Walk continues a beautiful and heartfelt journey that will benefit generations of children to come.
