The Art, History, and Etiquette of the Afternoon Tea

Weaving ancient lore and modern history, Christine Dycio presents this narrative of the history of tea and its influences on various cultures. Covering facets of the ancient Zen Tea Ceremony to the dos and don’ts of Victorian Tea Etiquette, the program concludes with suggestions for creating your own “Silver Tea,” how to brew a proper cup of tea, and scone recipes. This program is presented in part by a grant from the Delaware Humanities Forum. Registration is suggested. To sign up, call 302-645-2733 or stop by the Circulation Desk.
