Community Wellness Lecture Series at Excellens Physical Therapy
Ever heard of pelvic health physical therapy? What are pelvic floor muscles? Did you know that there are physical therapists who specialize in treating pregnant and post-partum women? How about physical therapy for constipation? Join us every other Thursday as we answer these questions and demystify pelvic and abdominal physical therapy. We will discuss anatomy, physiology, common issues and conditions that are treatable through PT, and what to expect at physical therapy appointments. You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions and meet one of our pelvic floor therapists. Refreshments will be provided!
March 28th 5:30-6:30 pm - What To Do When You Can’t Go Number 2: How PT Can Help With Constipation and Bowel Health
This lecture covers common bowel and abdominal conditions that can be addressed through physical therapy like constipation, fecal incontinence, and abdominal pain following surgery. We will go over normal bowel function, explain how these problems arise, and how PT can help resolve them.
