Each week now brings more to the Market, and this Wednesday will have tomatoes—heirloom, hybrid, slicing, and cherry, as well as blueberries, arugula, broccoli, beets, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers, fennel, lettuce, salad mix, onions, green onions, green peppers, shishito peppers, radishes, chicken, beef, pork, tilapia fish, fresh-baked breads, eggs, honey, pies and pastries made with fruit from the vendors at the Market, cut-flower bouquets, and more!
Wednesday Market Demos with Chef Ted Deptula Starting this Week!
Chef Ted Deptula will start holding monthly demonstrations at the Historic Lewes Farmers Market’s Wednesday Market at Crooked Hammock Brewery, this week from 9:30 - 11am. This Wednesday, June 29, Chef Ted Deptula, director of culinary operations for Crooked Hammock Brewery, will be making Sticky Lager Chicken Skewers.
At 26 years old, Ted became the Executive Chef of Nage and continued its reputation for culinary excellence. Having spent six years with Nage, Ted then took over the kitchen at the Lewes Yacht Club and served as Executive Chef for five years. Ted returned to the La Vida Hospitality Group in June 2019 as Director of Culinary Operations for Crooked Hammock Brewery. Ted’s cuisine is eclectic and diverse. He enjoys breaking culinary conventions and appreciates cooking for patrons with an open mind and adventurous palate.
