RBFS Comedy Tuesdays presents "Learning To Drive"

February 28th, 2017 - 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
The Rehoboth Beach Film Society will present Comedy Tuesdays during the month of February. Lighten up a dreary winter day by watching films that will tickle your funny bone and make you smile all week. Screenings will be held at 2:00 pm at the Cinema Art Theater, 17701 Dartmouth Drive, #2, Dartmouth Plaza (behind the Lewes Wawa).

The series will end with the dramedy, LEARNING TO DRIVE on Tuesday, February 28 at 2:00 pm.

Patricia Clarkson and Ben Kingsley star in this feel-good, coming-of- (middle)-age comedy about a mismatched pair who help each other embrace happiness and overcome life’s obstacles. Wendy is a self-absorbed book critic whose husband has just left her for a younger woman. Darwan is a soft-spoken taxi driver from India on the verge of an arranged marriage. As Wendy sets out to reclaim her independence, she runs into a barrier common to many New Yorkers – she’s never learned to drive. Determined to visit her daughter upstate, she hires Darwan to teach her. The two strike up a friendship and as he shows her how to take control of the wheel, she coaches him on how to adjust to life after marriage. Soon their unlikely friendship awakens them to the joy, humor, and love in starting life anew. In his film review CBS Radio’s Bill Bregoli said of the film, “The most delightful culture clash since Best Exotic Marigold Hotel! Patricia Clarkson and Ben Kingsley are a perfect pair. A gem!" [2014, USA, Runtime: 90 minutes, Rated R]

All Comedy Tuesday screenings will be held at the Cinema Art Theater located at 17701 Dartmouth Drive in Dartmouth Plaza (behind the Lewes Wawa). Admission for this event is $8.00. Tickets can be purchased online at www.rehobothfilm.com or by calling 302-645-9095 ext.1. Please note that tickets are non-refundable. Any available tickets will be sold at the door.
