Salvatore: Shoemaker of Dreams Opening at the Cinema Art Theater in Lewes
Opening November 26, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s Cinema Art Theater presents Salvatore: Shoemaker of Dreams, a striking biographical documentary about famous shoe designer, Salvatore Ferragamo’s remarkable life.
In the early 20th Century, impoverished teenage Italian cobbler Salvatore Ferragamo sailed from Naples to America to seek a better life. He settled in Southern California, and became Hollywood's go-to shoemaker during the silent film era. In 1927, he returned to Florence, Italy and founded his namesake luxury brand, Ferragamo. In this film, you will see Ferragamo recount his amazing adventures and rise to high fashion and fame. [2020, Italy, 120 min, Rating: PG, ]
