Historic Lewes Farmers Market

This Saturday, October 7, the Historic Lewes Farmers Market begins its fall market hours--9 am to noon. The Fall Market is located at the Richard Shields Elementary School parking lot at the corner of Savannah Road and Sussex Drive in Lewes, Delaware.

Vendors at the market this week:

  • Anchor Nursery: Kale + winter squash + garlic + carrots + broccoli + tomatoes + leeks + sweet potatoes + herbs +  hot peppers + gourds + cut flowers including lilies
  • Backyard Jams & Jellies: Ninety flavors of jams, jellies, including beach plum and crabapple jelly + autumn chutney + pumpkin and apple butter and mustards  

  • Baywater Farm: Shishito peppers + Kabocha, acorn, Red Kuri & spaghetti squashes + romaine, bib & spring mix lettuces + arugula + Mizuna + beans. Hydro-soil and soil-grown veggies.
  • Chapels Country Creamery: Hand-made artisanal cheeses!
  • Chinky Salt Oyster Co.: Oysters + clams

This year, the Market continues its SNAP (EBT Food Stamps) program. To help lower economic barriers to local, healthy food, the HLFM matches up to $20 each participant each week with HLFM Bonus Bucks. SNAP participants are encouraged to come to the SNAP tent at the Market to pick up the bonus $20 in tokens to use at the Market.
