The City of Lewes is excited to present ten great bands for the summer concert series in Stango Park for 2020, with some modifications for social distancing. Every Tuesday evening from June 23 to August 25, there will be a free concert starting at 7:00 p.m. on the open air stage in Stango Park next to the Lewes library.
There is No indoor rain location at this time due to COVID restrictions and limitations. If inclement weather is in the forecast, the concert will be canceled and notifications will be sent out be email blat and posted on our Facebook page.
Other modifications for the concert series include the phase 1 plan for Outdoor Gatherings by the Governor, which include a limit of 250 attendees, 6 feet separation between family groups, and wearing face coverings/masks. The City will have 2 portable toilets at the concert venue for concert patrons only and hand sanitizer will be provided. And a reminder that there is no indoor concert alternative if bad weather is likely.
The 2020 summer concert series lineup is sponsored by the City of Lewes, WSFS Bank, and by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware art events on www.DelawareScene.com.
TThere is a small chance of a stray shower or storm tomorrow night but we are going to take the chance that it doesn’t show and will have Reel Ting play the Lewes Summer Concert Series tomorrow night in Stango Park at 7:00 p.m. Reel Ting Steel Drum Band plays Caribbean music from Calypso to Reggae to Soca. Their roots are from the Caribbean islands and are known for high-energy and interactive performances and give you an authentic Caribbean sound. They perform some top 40 hits, folk songs, Jimmy Buffet selections and other popular songs. Come join us for some relaxation and groove to the island music in Stango Park July 21st at 7pm.
Due to COVID and not being able to practice the U.S. Navy Band Cruisers have canceled the concert on August 25th. The remaining 2020 concert lineup includes:
